Early life and education

Hewett obtained a BA in from Emory University, and an MFA at University of Iowa^[1]

Career

Hewett's professional career started during her Freshman year in college, when her novel, Coming of Age, was accepted for publication by the publishing company, Holloway House.

The book received a large amount of publicity Hewett's first semester, meaning she was busy with interviews at the time, as well as visits to several high schools across the Atlanta region. These visits focused on the writing process, in general.^[2]
